Many moons ago, a couple of dorky guys in leisure suits became television superstars by doing movie reviews.
They were credible for sure - but they were also entertaining. They had a Shtick.
Part of building your media brand is about creating a “look and feel” that viewers recognize and become familiar with. You want them to come back for more of your reviews.
Look for a style that speaks to the viewer, helps them identify with you, presents the product in the best context and holds their interest.
Remember, people watch reviews to get useful user information about products – so, you have to hold their attention long enough to get all that information communicated.
They’ll come back for more if they feel you are a source they can trust and they won’t be bored watching you and listening to you.
